Self-designed pattern applied to couch using Sketchup
Self-designed pattern applied to wall using Photoshop
Featured above are some pattern designs I made and applied to different surfaces in an interior design course at SU. The patterns were created by extracting shapes from traced plant images and repeating them, adding color to create the look of a real material. The left was applied to a couch in Sketchup to act as an upholstery material, and the right was applied to a wall in our classroom space to act as a wallpaper. Through both projects I was able to gain knowledge on using Sketchup and Photoshop in more ways than pictured above.
